Le Mans Classic Days, July 06-07, 2019

New for 2019 is the Classic Days weekend!

 

After 11 years at the Magny Cours Circuit, the Classic Days event is moving to Le Mans on the Bugatti Circuit for July 2019. Despite the change of circuit, the event will remain the same with an eclectic collection of cars from 2CV to Formula 1, from Ford T to F40 in addition to the plethora of circuit activities such as classic parades, manufacturer celebrations, track laps, classic rallys, a merchandise village and a childrens village.

The event is expected to feature a wide variety of historic grids including a Pre-war Grid ( the pioneers of motor racing such as Alfa Romeo, Amilcar, Bentley, Bugatti, Lagonda, MG et al.) a Formula 1 and Prototype Grid (older Formula 1 cars and Le Mans prototypes) and a Single Seater Grid.

In 2018 at Magny Cours, approximately 30,000 enjoyed the weekend with 450 on the circuit, 165 on the Classic Tour and over 700 featuring in the Parade; ex drivers Jacky Ickx, Romain Dumas and Anthony Beltoise were on all hand during the weekend.

 

Circuit Hotels & Le Mans Hotels

We offers hotels on the circuit and close to the circuit. The Hotel 24 is one of Le Mans newest hotels and is on the circuit. Simply walk inot the circuit and in the evening, take the tram into the town for dinner - the tram way stop is right outside the hotel. The Hotel Campanile Arnage is located by a lake and has been extensively refurbished.

We call ourselves "on site" because that is exactly what we deliver - no coach transfers, no long drives, no traffic jams - accommodation where it should be.

Cross Channel Schedules 2019

Brittany Ferry supplement prices subject to fluctuation - call reservations for best options / quotes. Eurotunnel & P&O Ferries offer a wide choice of departure times throughout the day and night.

Brittany Ferries Cabin & Reclining Seat Supplements & Club Class Channel Travel

For Brittany Ferries, it is mandatory to purchase cabins (if available) for overnight crossings: 

• 4 berth inside cabin - Price guide, £89 each way, cost dependent on choice & availability
• 2 berth inside cabin - Price guide, £69 each way, cost dependent on choice & availability Reclining Seat - £6 per seat, each way

For P&O Ferries, the following is available on the Dover-Calais-Dover crossing: 

• P&O Priority Boarding & Disembarkation, £15 per car, each way
• P&O Club Class Lounge, £15 per person, each way

Similarly, for Eurotunnel, Flexiplus (Club Class) travel is available at £75 each way. FlexiPlus fares are perfect for travellers requiring convenience and flexibility - turn up early or late; you can travel on the next available shuttle.  If you wish to amend your booking you can do so at no extra cost. As a FlexiPlus customer you have use of exclusive Check-in booths and you will be offered the next available departure. With a crossing time of only 35 minutes, Eurotunnel offers the fastest channel crossing. The service operates round the clock, 365 days a year with up to 3 departures an hour during peak periods.

DFDS Peak Sailings: July 04-05: 09:00 & 23:00 departures. July 08: 18:00 departure. All other sailings off peak.

 

Circuit Camping

For 2019, we are holding an allocation of official campsites including Maison Blanche and Camping Bleu Nord. These campsites are very close to the action. If you require your own private VIP camping for a group, please contact reservations.

Camping for the Classic Days events is expected to be a popular option. It is not on the scale of the 24 Heures and only a limited number of campsites will be operating. It is the inexpensive and entertaining way to pass a Le Mans motor sport weekend. The Maison Blanche campsite is next to the circuit and has shower and toilet facilities. Packages & prices include:

Standard entrance tickets for Saturday & Sunday are £39. Children under 14 free.

Other options incude paddock parking, inclusion in the parade, a Saturday afternoon classic 100km tour and track laps.

 

 

Le Mans Restaurants

Before the race on the Friday - or after the race on the Sunday night - good dining can be very difficult to find. If you are looking for an elegant way to finish your Le Mans experience, look no further than our Auberge, which is ideally located in Arnage, close to our hotels and the circuit.

Since 1962, the family Souffront have been serving superb gourmet cuisine from their restaurant which offers a beautiful parkland view. The Auberge is one of the oldest restaurants around Le Mans. The gourmet menu consists of two starters, a main course, cheese plate and dessert. For each course, there is a choice of two or three dishes.
